I watched a few minutes of one game this year. I can't take it. We're so bad, and I see no out. Our football facilities are terrible compared to the rest of the Big 12, so recruiting likely won't get any better
At least with Mangino we had hope: one great season (my freshman year, it was awesome), followed by a respectable season and another bowl win. Then some players whined about Mangino poking them and the school was forever doomed.

Sounds a little like what happened to Mike Leach in Lubbock. Programs like to shoot themselves in the foot on occasion.
I feel for you, right up until I think about your basketball program. Then I feel a little bit better.

Our basketball program is so good that it certainly outweighs the freakshow that is our football program.
Sure, we could really use another national championship, but man, the culture around KU Bball is insane. Games in Allen Fieldhouse are unlike anything else in the world, seriously I know I'm biased but I'm certain it's the best sports watching experience in the world.
One of the fight songs the band plays is called 'Stand Up and Cheer'. There's an alternate lyric to it called 'Stand In Your Beer'
Stand in your beer!
